Am 05.09.2008 veröffentlicht NANA, "The Darkman", sein neues Album "12Y.O." ‚Es gab ein paar Dinge zu regeln, habe mich gebildet, war auf Reisen und ich gab Konzerte im Ausland nachdem meine erste Karriere eher auf Deutschland beschränkt war.’ Der "Darkman" hatte die Zeit genutzt. Neben diversen Aufgaben in der Musikbranche tourte der gebürtige Ghanaer quer durch Europa und bot seinen Fans zahlreiche Liveauftritte. Die Erfahrungen aus dieser Zeit waren die Basis für sein nun erscheinendes Werk "12Y.O.". Das Doppelalbum ist eine Mischung aus brandaktuellen Tracks, "gut gelagerten" Werken die über Monate reifen konnten und Remixen der größten Hits des Darkman. Ein Potpourri aus Erfahrungen und Gedanken. Ängste und Sehnsüchte, Glaube, Liebe und Träume mischen sich mit den persönlichen Gedanken zu aktuellen Geschehnissen zusammen. Gewürzt mit einigen Floorfillern enthält das Werk alles was die Fans von NANA erwarten. "12Y.O." (12 years old), Kennzeichen für die Reifezeit einer hochwertigen Spirituose.
